We take a look back at 60’s 70’s stewardess style.
Bariff air in the sixties burst the design bubble by bringing Emilio Pucci to design neon colored and spiral patterns topped with the “space bubble” a clear plastic futuristic hair helmet to keep the air hostesses hair in place on the tarmac.
TWA before merging with American Airlines had Pierre Balmain design the pillbox hat and black or white gloves, while South West Air had their first issued uniforms as go-go boots and hot pants while Olympic Airways had Pierre Cardin designing their blue and white uniforms.
