Ben Martin is the owner and creative director of salon XVI in Melbourne Australia.
His creations have been published in magazines such as Elle Indonesia, Elle China, Refinery 29, Known and Fashion Journal.
Martin is an active presenter for the Redken artistic team inspiring many around the globe.
He won the HBIA Women’s photography open in 2013, 2nd place HBIA Men’s photographic open 2014 and was a 5 time finalist at the American crew face off competition.

A celebration of sexual and cultural diversity, individualism and freedom, living idol is a collection of six urban characters who are free enough to express themselves in anyway shape or form, including hair and fashion.
The inspiration behind Ben Martin’s ICON LIVING collection came from his latest stint hair directing at the Spring / Summer runways for New York Fashion Week (September 2017) . While some may go for the conventional catwalks at Bryant Park, it was the offbeat and underground fashion presentations of Baby Ghost and Tefla that grabbed the attention of NYC’s cool youth sect and also Martin’s creative eye.
