Sadly Legendary “Hair Maestro ” Oribe Canales has passed away.
Cuban born Oribe’s iconic status grew huge working with supermodels of the 80s and 90s such as Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, and Christy Turlington.
He opened his fifth avenue salon in NYC 1991 and styled hair for just about every fashion runway shows for Versace, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, D&G and Calvin Klein.
His beautiful hair creations have been the covers and in magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, Allure, and W to name a few.
He created his haircare line “Oribe” in 2008 and with a top celebrity clientele such as J-Lo, Lady Gaga, Cher, Barbara Streisand, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and many more, he was truly considered one of the industry’s great hairdressers and adored by all.
