ORLY just released in collaboration with MuslimGirl.com a limited edition capsule collection of halal-certified nail polishes from ORLY’s Breathable line, called #HalalPaint.
The first collaboration of its kind with an American beauty brand that caters to Muslim women, the #HalalPaint collection features six Breathable nail polishes made out of 100% halal ingredients and is uniquely permeable to water.
Some Muslim women avoid wearing traditional nail polish because it creates a barrier on their nails against ablution water for prayer. ORLY’s Breathable formula, both oxygen and moisture are able to pass through the layer of polish. The collaboration with MuslimGirl.com aims to present a viable beauty solution for Muslim women, as well as introduce a new way to promote nail health.
The nail polishes also feature tailored names created by Muslim Girl like “Haram-Bae” and “Wallah Bro Wipe Out”, as well as common Muslim girl names like “What the Fatima?”, “Ig-Noor the Haters”, and “The Perfect Amani-cure”, named after the MuslimGirl.com founder Amani Al-Khatahtbeh.
“Many of us are the girls who could never find our names on a keychain, so we wanted to make sure we provided that experience through this collection,” Al-Khatahtbeh says.
The #HalalPaint collection opens up a space for Muslim girls in beauty. The Muslim Girl x ORLY collaboration is the first of many ways to cater to their needs and count them in.
