Montreal, Canada based Alain Pereque is the former owner and North American Creative Director of Salon Saco flagship, Montreal.
\nHe educates and inspires many around the world with his knowledge and beautiful hair creations.
\nAlain is a multiple finalist at NAHA and a three-time winner and took home Canadian Hairdresser of the Year twice.

\nAlain, how did you originally get into hairdressing?<\/strong>
\nI moved to Paris to join my brother and finish high school.
\nI met up with a childhood friend who was an apprentice at a high end Salon in Paris and I fell in love with the idea of constantly being around beautiful women haha I moved to Montreal 40 years later and am still living my dream.<\/em><\/p>\n

Who or what inspires your hair creations?<\/strong>
\nI draw my inspiration from fashion, photography, video, textures and shapes.
\nBritish hairdressing is also a big inspiration for me.<\/em><\/p>\n

What advice would you give aspiring hair stylists?<\/strong>
\nYou have to be really hungry, positive and consumed to succeed.
\nSurround yourself with a good mentor that you trust in a creative environment, creativity breeds creativity.<\/em>
