A huge congrats to Ottawa, Canada based Silas Tsang who took home this year’s NAHA Avant-Garde Award as well as NAHA Master Stylist of the Year 2018.
\nSilas started his hair career over 30 years ago in London, UK.
\nHe is the owner of Blushes Salon where he works behind the chair as well as collaborating with photographers, fashion shows and magazine work.
\nBesides this years big NAHA winning he also holds the Contessa Canadian Hairstylist of the Year 2018 and Contessa Master Hairstylist of the Year 2018.<\/p>\n
Silas, who or what inspires your hair creations?<\/strong> A few of his fab creations.<\/p>\n
\nI draw my inspirations from many different places and people. A large part of my process is looking through many different pictures from hairstylists and artists for new ways to show different textures. Also, experimenting with fabrics and materials that aren’t typical in the hair industry helps me step outside the box and be more playful with my final work.<\/em>
\nWhat are your favorite styling products at the moment?<\/strong>
\nTwo of my favorite styling products right now are Shu Uemura Texture Wave and Shu Uemura Sheer Lacquer. They are the perfect tools for the salon and in creating collections.<\/em><\/p>\n
