Kris, how did you originally get into hairstyling? Who or what inspires your creations? Can you tell me a little bit about being a guest speaker at teen vogue university? What are your favorite styling products at the moment?

When I was 7 yrs old I went to a hair salon for the first time to watch my Mum getting her perm done. Within minutes I’d discovered my passion I just had to be a hairdresser. I was ready to leave school the next day to pursue my career… Obviously that was not going to happen!

My Kris Sorbie mannequin heads inspire me to create and and learn more. https://krissorbie.com/product/ks-long-head

I’m inspired by every day objects, nature, animal fur and beyond!

It was several years ago… a talk to open the minds of teenagers to consider the world of hairdressing as a career. We had an amazing response and one of our attendees actually did become a hairdresser!

I wish I had known as a teenager that my chosen career would open so many doors and take me around the world… I would have worked harder! My advice to them was to take every opportunity that comes their way.

Redken Guts 10 – VOLUME SPRAY FOAM, its the best product for root lift, hold and volume, I can’t live without it!

Redken Triple Take 32 – HIGHEST HOLD, NO CRUNCH, EXTREME HIGH-HOLD HAIRSPRAY, I love it for up-styling.
