In 2010 Leen and Bertus opened the only “no women allowed ” zone in Holland Schorem haarsnijder&barbier a no BS place for men to get high-quality cuts and shaves.
\nFrom day one the guys were asked by barbers and hairstylists if they could get training like the shop’s apprentices.
\nThey soon outgrew the shop so they took a larger space across the street but couldn’t say goodbye to the original “Schorem” the place where their dreams first came true.
\nAs a result “Old school” was born a small independent barber academy where the barber masters share their knowledge gained over the years, teach, motivate and inspire male and female students, barbers and hairstylists.
\nAll courses are taught in English but also available in Dutch or German.
\nCourses available are a 3 days advanced cutting, 3 days advanced cutting and basic shaving, 2 days shaving or a more stretched out 20 weeks basic course attending 2 days a week or 40 weeks basic course attending one day a week.
\nThey have also created their own product line “Reuzel” pomade with a large range of top men’s grooming products.<\/p>\n
