New York based Ruth Roche is the global artistic ambassador for Pureology Serious Color Care. She has also worked as artistic director for Trevor Sorbie in her early career.
\nShe travels the world teaching and inspiring many about current hair trends and the business of hair styling and haircare. She keeps busy behind the chair at NYC “Cutler Salon” with a loyal clientele.<\/p>\n

Her celebrity client list includes names like Anne Hathaway, Mariah Carey, Amy Adams, Pink, and Claire Danes.
\nRuth has been a finalist over ten times at NAHA and the winner of multiple awards.
\nHer beautiful hair creations have been featured in magazines such as Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Nylon, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, Modern Salon and American Salon.<\/p>\n

 
\nRuth tell me, how did you originally get into hairstyling?<\/strong>
\nI used to cut my brothers\u2019 hair when I was in high school and I did everyone\u2019s hair in college even though I didn\u2019t know what I was doing.<\/em><\/p>\n

What are your favorite styling products?<\/strong>

Who or what inspires your hair creations?<\/strong>
\nWatching people touch hair inspires me. Odile Gilbert is amazing. I like to do unusual things that are still pretty. Beautiful\u2026 but with an edge.<\/em><\/p>\n

What is the one bit of advice you would give new aspiring hairstylists that admire your work and creations?<\/strong>
\nFocus on your craft, help others achieve their goals and stay humble. Give everything you know away and the rest will follow!<\/em>
